What is green headed ducks?

Green-headed ducks, also known as Northern shovelers, are medium-sized ducks that are found throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Adult males have a distinctive green head, chestnut-colored breasts, and bluish-gray bills that are wider at the tip. Females are less colorful, with mottled brown feathers and a light blue patch on their wings. These ducks are commonly found in shallow wetlands, marshes, lakes, and ponds, where they feed by filtering small organisms like insects, crustaceans, and seeds through their bills. They are social birds and often swim in large flocks, especially during migration. Green-headed ducks are popular game birds, but their populations are considered stable and the species is not currently threatened.
